R&B Blues Festival 2026 for the first time in Madona!


On July 3, 2026, lovers of quality music will gather in Madona, Saieta laukums, for an energetic open-air concert, as for the first time a festival in the mood of blues, R&B and rock will take place here. Bright artists will take to the stage, guaranteeing a real musical adventure.

The festival will feature the charismatic Ivars Pētersons with the group "PETERSONS BAND". Ivars Pētersons is a rock and roll musician – singer, guitarist and songwriter, who has been performing songs from the 50s and 60s of the last century in English for more than 35 years. He is often called the Latvian Elvis, because Elvis Presley's music has played a major role in his creative work. The musical accompaniment of the concert will be provided by the musical association "PETERSONS BAND".

An unforgettable blues concert will be given by the great, internationally recognized and most famous Latvian blues band Latvian Blues Band. The band has existed since 2000 and has accumulated a lot of experience, performing with more than 200 different blues artists from all over the world. They are currently considered one of the best blues ensembles in Europe. The repertoire of the Latvian Blues Band is very wide and diverse, and the band's performances are always exciting and original with audience involvement during the concert.

The festival will also feature the powerful and magnificent program “Woodstock Renaissance” by singer Aija Andrejeva and the Latvian jazz-funk band “Very Cool People”, which is a tribute to the legends who have left an indelible impression on the music of the 20th and 21st centuries - both rock and jazz, and modern classical music. In this concert program, the inimitable Aija Andrejeva and the energetic Very Cool People will offer the audience the best compositions of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison in a new, modern and exciting sound.

The special guest of the festival is guitarist, singer and songwriter Anthony Basso from Italy. One of the most interesting talents on the international rock and blues music scene today. Anthony has created his own recognizable sound, which is characterized by a mixture of strong rock and blues with funk, soul and country music influences typical of 70s bands, but at the same time it is so modern, energetic and has a sophisticated Italian charm. Anthony Basso represents a new generation of artists who are able to attach great importance to feelings, passion and joy towards music, which can be heard in his concerts, offering the audience an unforgettable live performance filled with powerful and very emotional moments.
